Josie Gibson has nothing but love for This Morning gem Alison Hammond after the presenter helped her get through a live episode of the morning show.
The TV personality, 37, has fronted various segments on the ITV daytime programme throughout the years, and due to immense popularity, Josie has hosted the main show alongside Phillip Schofield, Vernon Kay and Craig Doyle.
Josie has previously expressed how the transition left her feeling like an ‘imposter.’
However, the 2010 Big Brother winner revealed that ITV icon Alison was there to calm her pre-show jitters.
Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk, Josie explained: ‘I get really nervous, and I would not have been able to do that show if it wasn’t for Alison… and Holly [Willoughby]’
‘But when I used to go in the studios, Alison would say to me “when I do a demo you need to hear the whole gallery, just in case you ever get the call and you know what it’s like.”‘

‘So Alison used to push me really out of my comfort zone, and because she did that, I was able to fill in that day with Phil, because if I hadn’t had got all those tricks and tips of Alison telling me about everything. I would have never been able to do it.’
Josie, who recently hit the streets of Sittingbourne, Kent in a bid to get the nation moving again as part of Babybel’s latest campaign, also congratulated co-star Alison for landing a nomination at this year’s National Television Awards.
‘I couldn’t be prouder,’ she enthused.
‘I messaged her to tell her she’s been nominated, she’s on holiday at the moment.

‘I’ve been stepping into Alison’s shoes and I’m not joking, it’s hard. That woman has grafted and grafted, and she’s got it,’ she added.
When asked whether she would love a regular slot on This Morning, the reality star insisted that at the moment she’s got ‘the best of all worlds.’
‘That is a real tricky one, because I’ve got Reggie [son] and it’s a lot of hard work and I live in Bristol,’ she said.
‘I love my life where it is at the minute. I like doing a bit of everything. I like the competitions and the outside broadcast, and because I’ve got that knowledge I love being in the studio.
‘There’s nothing better than being an all-rounder.’
