Julia Louis-Dreyfus, unlike other parents, has applauded her son’s performance in the sexy film The Sex Lives of College Girls.
Charlie Hall, the 25-year-old son of the Veep actress, has been cast in the second season of Mindy Kaling’s comedy series, which follows four college roommates as they navigate the challenges of higher education and maturity while maintaining a sexually active lifestyle.
He plays Andrew, the protagonist Whitney’s (Alyah Chanelle Scott) biochemistry student and eventual romantic interest.
Despite knowing she would likely receive an eyeful, Julia, 62, opted to tune in since she was so supportive of her son’s current endeavour.
While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Julia was asked about the ‘racy’ programme and whether she was ‘watching in terror’ that she could see something she hadn’t seen ‘in a while’ with her children.
‘Well, I mean I did watch the show and I think he was adorable,’ she said.
‘He was f***ing some girl in the library and I thought it was dynamite.’
Jimmy and the rest of the audience burst out laughing at her remark.
Charlie’s father, Brad Hall, was an SNL cast member and comic, and Charlie has acted in films including Love Victor, Big Shot, Bel Air, and Single Drunk Female.
Recently, he’s been cast as a “d***” in a movie, a description he himself made.
‘He’s pretty douchey, he’s stuck up, he’s super competitive, obviously there are some redeeming moments for him, but on the whole, you’re not exactly rooting for him, which is fun,’ he told Pop Sugar.
He added: ‘It’s a fun little challenge to play someone that you’re not rooting for in a way that is entertaining and also in a way that’s funny.’
