Kaleb Cooper has stated that Jeremy Clarkson once warned him off following a confrontation with former Prime Minister David Cameron.
After three seasons, the 25-year-old Clarkson’s Farm star, who refers to himself as the show’s “real boss,” has captivated the hearts of the country.
And, while he regards former Top Gear host Jeremy as a “father figure,” things haven’t always been easy.
In a recent interview, the farmer described a previous event in which he saw the former Conservative Party leader but had no idea who he was.
After bumping into Cameron, a Chipping Norton local, Kaleb explained: ‘He was like, “Hi Kaleb,” but I had no idea who he was.
‘Jeremy told me off for being ignorant but I’m too busy cleaning up his s**t to know who these people are.’
A meeting with the current Prime Minister, on the other hand, went much more smoothly, when father-of-two Kaleb met Rishi Sunak in May at the Farm to Fork Summit to ‘compare hairstyles,’ among other things.
Kaleb continued to The Times: ‘I hate politics generally and people told me I was being used in a government PR stunt, so I focused on his haircare.
‘Rishi Sunak has amazingly glossy hair. But if he puts too much gel in it, with all the TV lights, it’ll cook.
‘He could lose his hair, you know? I’m losing mine, but that’s mostly because of what Jeremy puts me through.’
Despite his jabs at Jeremy, Kaleb has previously claimed that the controversial TV personality is improving his farming skills.
In 2008, Jeremy, 63, bought Diddly Squat from 1000 acres of what was once part of the Sarsden estate in Oxfordshire.
As the Amazon Prime Video series has progressed, Jeremy’s little understanding of farming has been saved by Kaleb’s competence, despite several confrontations between the two.
Kaleb was asked how Jeremy was doing on Good Morning Britain on Friday by presenters Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.
‘I am being very nice and it hurts me to say this but I think there is a farmer in there,’ he shared.
‘I am just trying to break it out of him and he is extremely good, annoyingly this is going to hurt me to say this, he is really good at pig farming and he has literal knowledge now which I think is very dangerous,’ he added.
Clarkson’s Farm is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
