The Apprentice candidates’ skirts are growing’shorter and shorter,’ and their heels are going ‘higher,’ according to Baroness Karren Brady, who wears trainers.
The businesswoman returned to the BBC famous series on Thursday, with Claude Littner, who stunned fans by filling in for Tim Campbell, as the candidates for Lord Sugar were scrutinised.
In the first episode, the new candidates were charged with marketing boat tours in Antigua, which left several of the women dressed in rather inappropriate beachwear.
Karren, on the other hand, prefers comfort over the’shorter skirts’ and ‘higher heels’ that some of the candidates wear.
Speaking to press including The Daily Mail, the 53-year-old commented: ‘They can wear whatever they want.
‘The skirts in this series get a bit shorter and shorter and shorter, I noticed, and heels get a bit higher.’
She continued: ‘You’ll notice in every shot I’m in trainers because I’ve learned the hard way that trying to wear heels all day is an impossibility and being comfortable is really important to me.
‘I like to be comfortable and dressed comfortably. Otherwise, I’d be in jeans and a t-shirt myself.’
Karren has previously stated that she wears more comfortable outfits without people knowing.
She said: ‘Sometimes I have tracksuit bottoms and trainers on, and a smart top.
‘I have actually had my slippers on in that boardroom and sometimes they show the camera and you can actually see my slippers in the reflection.’
The Apprentice continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
