Katie Price declared her ambition to join the Strictly Come Dancing cast.
In 2022, celebrity cameraman-turned-dancer Hamza Yassin and his professional partner Jowita Przystal won the long-running ballroom tournament.
Naturally, with the next series only two months away, speculation about the 2023 lineup has begun, with many well-known personalities in the running.
While we still don’t know who will be in this year’s series, Katie made a rather straightforward remark about a possible inclusion via Instagram Stories.
Sharing a picture of the show’s professional dancer Graziano Di Prima and another dancer with Katie’s face photoshopped, she penned: ‘Yesssss @bbcstrictly.’
In a separate post she wrote: ‘Strictly 2023… Let’s make it happen…I’ve got moves you’ve never seen.’
While we’re not sure if she’s serious, her admirers appear to be on board with the notion.
‘Yessss this would be iconic,’ one person replied.
‘It would be AMAZING!!! x,’ another replied.
In 2020, it was reported that the mother-of-three was keen to take part in the hit dance show.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘It’s really early days but she’s in talks with bosses.
Katie’s ex-husband Peter Andre appeared on the show in 2015, paired with current It Takes Two host Janette Manrara.
This Morning host Josie Gibson and former Love Island star Zara McDermott are among the other celebs speculated to be competing this year.
Elsewhere Wham! Andrew Ridgeley has done nothing to quell rumours that he may join the competition series, stating that he would ‘never say no.’
Angela Rippon, 78, is another name in the running.
The broadcaster initially hosted Come Dancing, the show that inspired the BBC show, in the 1980s.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
