Kourtney Kardashian said that her daughter, Penelope, has expressed her displeasure with Tristan Thompson’s infidelity allegations.
Khloe Kardashian’s marriage to Tristan Thompson has deteriorated in recent years, following revelations that the NBA star was unfaithful to the 39-year-old while she was pregnant with their first child, True.
Things then crumbled once again when he kissed Jordyn Woods on a night out, but they were able to get their relationship back on track for a short time – until it was found that the 32-year-old had covertly fathered another kid while preparing to begin the surrogacy procedure with the reality star.
Kourtney, 44, detailed the impact this had on their family on the latest episode of the Kardashians, saying that watching her sister harmed so many times ‘triggered’ her 11-year-old daughter.
‘P, Koko’s going to come grab you on the golf cart,’ she told the youngster. ‘Tristan’s with them. Is that okay?’
Off camera, Penelope could be heard replying: ‘Yeah, I’m fine…’
Kourtney addressed the reaction to the camera, noting that it might have originated from her own thoughts about the athlete and his adultery.
‘I feel like she gets it from me. I told her the first day of school, I was so triggered by him, I don’t know why,’ the Poosh owner said.
When a producer interjected that she does ‘know why’, she conceded: ‘I know why… But I feel like we all brush it off and are fine, and then I was just so triggered and was like, “I just can’t do it anymore.”’
In a confessional, she continued: ‘Tristan has made horrible decisions and choices with my sister. There’s times I’m so triggered by him I can’t be around him.

‘And then there’s times when I just let it go because we just want harmony. He’s the father of my niece and nephew.’
Khloe stressed that she does not expect her family to be happy with Tristan simply because she has decided to get past his recurrent dishonesty, and she praised her niece for trying to keep him accountable.
‘I’m really proud of myself for where me and Tristan are, and how I am able to allow him to be the father he wants to be,’ she said in her own on-camera interview.
‘But where I am at with Tristan has nothing to do with what I expect my family members to do. If Penelope has her feelings about Tristan, rightfully so. Good for you, girl.
‘I want Penelope to have these feelings and I don’t want to talk her out of them, because I don’t want this behavior to be something I’m validating or I’m justifying. I want her to know that how she’s feeling is the right way to feel.
‘We should not accept someone treating us like this.’
Khloe and Tristan began dating in 2016 and had their daughter, True, two years later, but their relationship was strained when the NBA player was disloyal during her pregnancy.
They were able to work through their troubles, but their romance was derailed when the father of four kissed Jordyn Woods on a night out.
During the pandemic, they reconciled while hiding themselves and intended to begin the surrogacy procedure to bring their second kid – but romance faded when it was revealed that he had secretly fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.
They subsequently split up but introduced Tatum last summer and have remained close to co-parent their children.
Sharing an update on their bond on a recent episode of the Kardashians, Khloe told mom Kris Jenner: ‘Him and I have a great friendship relationship. We get along fine and for my kids, I will put anything to the side.
‘What’s done is done so what would I still be holding on to something for? I don’t need to “punish” him because I’m not getting back with him.

‘There’s still boundaries, I definitely put my foot down around a lot of things. No one is just around here chilling if there’s no kids involved.’
She added to the camera: ‘These boundaries are so important to put into place with Tristan because we’ve done this song and dance a handful of times already
‘I’ve got back with him after a cheating scandal, so I don’t know if Tristan is under the impression, “Oh, wow, ride this out and eventually she’ll get back with me”. I get why he would think that. So it’s my job to set boundaries that my actions show otherwise.’
‘I keep it very short and sweet and I make sure he knows it’s all about the kids,’ she added. ‘I can’t let those old habits easily come into my life. It’s just not what I want.’
