Kim Kardashian was not about to be left with an unflattering driver’s licence photo, so she enlisted the help of a whole glam crew to create the perfect photograph.
as it’s difficult to forget the memorable moment in 2007 when the reality star and entrepreneur underwent a photo session shooting selfies as sister Khloe was being transported to jail for a DUI, Kim has made sure she has a gorgeous shot on hand in case she ever needs to display her licence.
On this week’s episode of The Kardashians, Kim, 42, went all out at the Department of Motor Vehicles to retake her driver’s licence shot.
She was escorted into the building, which had been specially opened for her, by a glam squad, lighting team and video crew.
Her hairstylist Chris Appleton pointed out that the team was undertaking a public service of sorts because ‘too many people live with driving licenses that are not cute’.
Kim waited impatiently for the picture as the crew refreshed her makeup and adjusted her locks to lie exactly over her shoulder.
While some people may not give much thought to their attire for this event, Kim chose a black skin-tight bodysuit with shorts.
‘This is the most important photo you’ll ever take in your life,’ she later said in a confessional.
Producers could be heard giggling as the glam team grabbed control of the room to prepare Kim.
‘I really just want it to look good, like why not bring a light and a glam team?’ she said.
‘It’s definitely crazy, but I don’t care.’
while it came time to approach the blue background, Kim claimed she was’so scared’ and that she needed ‘picture clearance’ while chatting with DMV staffer Bianca.
She also told Bianca that she required a photo without any wrinkles, so she waited until she stopped smiling.
The first attempt fell short, with Chris and makeup artist Ariel Tejada complaining that the camera was too close up, so they tried again.
It was a success, with Kim tagging the following photo’snatched’ while high-fiving her team.
‘This one’s good, it looks exactly the same as the other one,’ she said while laughing.
‘We’ve worked with many photographers along the way, Blanca, and you got the shot,’ Chris chimed in.
Kim, not missing an opportunity to indirectly criticise sister Kourtney, said that “first is the worst and second is the best,” which is why “I’m the second child.”
Kim also launched an enormous burn at the eldest Kardashian child last week.
During an argument between the sisters after Kourtney accused Kim of using her wedding to Travis Barker as a ‘business opportunity,’ Khloe mentioned Kourtney’s friends chiming in, to which Kim responded, ‘She’s saying every one of her friends, but she doesn’t have any friends, so Travis?’
