The Corrie star, who’s partnered with Graziano Di Prima, wowed with her Argentine Tango on Saturday night and came joint second on the leaderboard, but has come down with a bug, which has interfered with her rehearsal time.
Ever the pro, Kym appeared on Morning Live, insisting she’ll be fine to perform next week.
‘I will pull myself through, it is only one of those 24-hour things and I think you have got to get out there and do it, no matter what,’ she said.
‘Even if you have bits dropping off, you have to get out there!’
Kym’s bug comes after she was forced to stop training after reportedly suffering a panic attack ahead of the BBC centenary special, with her pro partner there to console her and calm her down.
The actress and Graziano performed a sensational routine on Saturday to John Powell’s Assassin’s Tango, scoring an impressive 37 points.
Craig Revel Horwood noted that, apart from Kym’s raised shoulders (because he always picks up on something!) he felt it was an ‘absolutely perfect’ routine.
Meanwhile, it’s safe to say viewers from home were absolutely enthralled.
Fans took to Twitter to praise the ‘steamy’ number, with several convinced the duo were about to lock lips as they stared into each other’s eyes during their finishing pose.
But, there’s no fear about the so-called Strictly curse interfering with this partnership, as Kym has already said her husband ‘couldn’t care less.’
Dismissing the threat of the curse, the presenter told The Sun that her hubby is used to watching her perform raunchy scenes due to the nature of her job.
‘He’s just supportive and has already brought us closer together,’ she said of Scott.
‘We usually only see each other on weekends as he is based at Sandhurst in the week while I’m up in Manchester, so me being down south so often actually means we are closer.’
