On Thursday’s broadcast of Good Morning Britain, fans received a little more than they bargained for, with Lorraine Kelly now apologising for the accidentally-NSFW section.
The show’s hosts were in great spirits this week, with one crew member joining in on the fun on Thursday by utilising green screen technology to repeatedly change Kate Garraway’s green outfit to other colours.
Furthermore, as the show beamed in Lorraine Kelly to discuss what was about to air on her chat show that day, they took it a step further by projecting her face onto Kate’s clothing.
The unusual event elicited laughter from people in the studio as well as those watching at home, with the seemingly benign prank going down well with viewers.
Nevertheless, as one viewer pointed out, the team may not have thought it through thoroughly, as Lorraine’s cleavage was “projected” onto Kate’s torso in an awkward position.
Lorraine retweeted the message and said, ‘OMFG – I can only regret terribly for the damage caused!’
GMB anchors Kate and Ben Shephard acknowledged the saga before welcoming her to the show on Friday.
Ben warned: ‘Before we go to Lorraine, no green screen today please.’
Cringing, Kate agreed: ‘Didn’t we get ourselves in a right old pickle?’
‘I don’t know what you were thinking, and quite frankly I was aghast,’ Ben went on, as a shocked Kate declared: ‘We were innocent victims!’
Lorraine chimed in by agreeing: ‘That was unfortunate. If you know, you know.’
Earlier this month, both Andi Peters and Richard Arnold made NSFW gaffes on Good Morning Britain. Andi looked upbeat and lively as he prepared to inform viewers about the competition in which they could win £250,000 in cash, with host Kate Garraway introducing him by stating he had ‘the largest prize of the year so far.’To which Andi replied: ‘I did wonder what you were going to say, he’s got the biggest… wahey!’
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV and ITVX
