Jess Harding and Ella Thomas were chastised by Love Island viewers for comments they made about fellow islander Molly Marsh on Wednesday night’s show.
Jess, who is said to have longstanding difficulties with Molly, has made her feelings about her quite plain since she expressed her desire in getting to know Zachariah Noble.
During the most recent showdown, fans observed Jess and Ella sitting on beanbags as Molly and Zach went to the gym for some workout.
They could hear Jess and Ella swiping at the 21-year-old musical theatre performer while the burgeoning pair worked out with another contender and stunner Charlotte Sumner.
Later, the ITV 2 dating show’s islanders gathered for some risky activities, during which jibes were made about Molly being a “game player” and “two faced.”
Members of the audience flocked to Twitter to voice their opinions on the incident, dubbing the duo “mean girls” for their constant criticism of Molly.
One penned: ‘now i don’t like molly but it’s getting a bit nasty now like [sic].’
Another said: ‘Ella and Jess are giving off hella mean girl vibes [sic],’ while a different user typed: ‘These challenges are OUT OF ORDER [sic].’
Fans reacted to what they thought were targeted chores, referring to the challenge that required islanders to explode balloons in sex positions and plant kisses on those they deemed beautiful.
‘Oi these dares are EVILLLLLLLLLLL [sic],’ an account commented while another said: ‘This ended bad last year.. [sic].’

Ella and Jess’ shenanigans occurred after Ruchee Gurung became the villa’s second islander to depart.
After a surprise re-coupling rattled the island, the 24-year-old beautician was left without a partner.
Medhi Edno was entrusted with breaking the news, and she stated that the group believed Ella had a greater chance of connecting, so she sent Ruchee on her way.
As she packed her bag and left the villa, the budding star admitted: ‘I thought that I would be disappointed, but I’m not because I tried my best and I was myself. It didn’t work out for me and that’s completely fine.’
Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
