Tonight on Love Island, a movie night proves too much for one pair.
It wouldn’t be a movie night without some drama, and it’s now time for the islanders to see what occurred at Casa Amor while they were away.
Fans were expecting a major fight between freshly reunited Tyrique Hyde and Ella Thomas, who enjoyed a make-up kiss on Friday, July 7.
Movie night is a common game on the long-running reality programme, in which competitors compete in a girls vs. males quiz to win clips from the season so far.
While the Islanders are relaxing in the yard, a text message arrives informing them that it is time for the frequently exciting game.
‘Islanders, It’s time to get your glam game strong and hit the red carpet as tonight is Movie Night #FrontRowSeats #SweetOrSalty,’ reads the message.
Each team responds to a text question, and the team that comes closest to the correct answer gets to choose a movie.
This movie night contains titles like The Lying, The Mitch and The Wardrobe, Sin-Der-Ella, and The Full Montel.
Whitney, a fan favourite to win, is clearly on board with the drama as the lights go down and she says: ‘This is my kind of night, roll the tapes, roll the tapes.’
One fan wrote: ‘Whitney knows she’s safe fr she’s just sitting back and observing.’
‘Just waiting for Whitney’s reactions,’ joked another.
This season, the 25-year-old has been fearless of getting into fights, calling out Tyrique by reading him his own tattoo and calling out Catherine during a recoupling.
She jokes: ‘Well Movie Night was Movie Nighting!’ after the clips broke out serious arguments with the girls focused on Tyrique’s actions.
Despite the fact that things appeared to be improving for Tyrique and Ella, fans were already anticipating their demise.
The player looked to be encouraging the lads’ behaviour in Casa Amor, putting the girls in need of meaningful conversations by the first pit.
‘The way Ty looks at Ella, he knows he’s finished,’ said one viewer.
Another added: ‘That side eye Tyrique gave Ella is sending me.’
Tyrique isn’t the only one causing havoc; Ella and Ouzy’s bed flirting and embraces, as well as their kisses during games, may be broadcast for all to see.
Whitney speaks out once more, scathingly adding, ‘It’s giving sheep.’
Two Islanders got into a furious dispute, and other disclosures placed a couple on the rocks; we’re not sure they’ll be able to recover.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
