Will Young was left defenceless on the last night of Love Island when bombshell Tom Clare swooped in and took Olivia Hawkins from him in a predictable recoupling.
Now it’s up to the farmer to put in the effort if he wants to stay in the villa and avoid being dumped, which he’ll do tonight on the show before the arrival of two more bombshells to further agitate the situation.
Will takes Lana Jenkins to the side for a conversation as her partner, Ron Hall, watches in a sneak footage published ahead of the latest episode of Winter Love Island 2023 in South Africa.
While Ron appears unconcerned since he is sure in his bond with Lana, there is always the possibility that he is keeping his genuine emotions close to his chest.
Speaking in the Beach Hut about the potential risk he has of being eliminated if he doesn’t couple up with someone else soon, Will admits: ‘I just kind of puts things into perspective. Nobody is safe. I’ve got a lot to think about, as well as a lot of grafting and work to do.’
So he and Lana go one-on-one after she reveals during a risky ice breaker game that she also has feelings for Shaq Muhammad, who is dating Tanya Manhenga.

‘How are you feeling after everything?’ Lana asks Will, after he wound up single during last night’s episode.
‘A little bit… it’s a difficult one, isn’t it? Because I haven’t really got to know you yet,’ he responds to the make-up artist.
While chatting to several of the other islanders, including Olivia and Haris Namani, Ron claims he’s ‘not stressed’ about Lana and Will getting to know each other, because ‘I know where we are’.
‘Ok yeah, you’ve got another fella who’s trying to literally nick your bird off you. Anyone could walk through that door and I’d back myself that even if there was a recoupling again tomorrow, I’d try my best to get her back the following day,’ the financial advisor affirms.

Elsewhere, Shaq and Tanya appear to be closer than ever, while Haris is beginning to wonder if he and Anna-May Robey are a compatible match.
‘You know when you’re chatting to a bird and you just think, it’s probably not going to be any more than what it is,’ Haris says.
‘We get along, we can chat. Obviously there’s no awkwardness there.’
Will suggests that Haris ‘should explore everything,’ while Ron observes that the salesman appears to be ‘shut the door’ on any prospective romance with Anna-May.

Speculating that Haris will go after Olivia, considering the bond they shared over him being a boxer and her being a ring girl, Ron asks: ‘Are you now going to be stepping on Tom’s toes?’
Teacher Kai Fagan adds: ‘This is where the games begin! Secure your ting or move on.’
Meanwhile, the islanders may not be prepared for the arrival of two new candidates, Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown and David Salako, who arrive to liven things up and go on first dates with other members of the cast.
‘When you’re up against me, there’s no match. I’m a born winner,’ David promises, while Zara vows: ‘I’m not worried about breaking up any of the couples. Step aside ladies.’
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
