A former Love Island contestant who spent less than a week in the villa has announced his engagement to his long-term partner.
Back in 2020, recruiting consultant Jamie Clayton competed on the show’s sixth winter season, but was unlucky in love.
He was dumped off the island on day 38 after joining the mansion on day 31.
Now, the reality TV star, 30, has announced his engagement.
Jamie, who moved to Dubai earlier this year, shared a series of images shot on a trip to Thailand, where he proposed this week.
In one photograph, he is seen holding out the engagement ring to his now-fiancée Harriette, who is standing in front of him on some decking he has covered with petals.
His wife-to-be also shared on the post that she ‘couldn’t say YES quick enough’.
‘What a surprise, I’ll love you forever and more,’ she added, as reported by the Daily Mail.
During his time on Love Island, he went on dates with Shaughna Phillips and Demi Jones before marrying Natalia Zoppa.
Jamie was said to be dating Eve Gale after leaving the villa, who was the first to depart that season.
After enjoying a supper in Manchester, they ignited romance suspicions, but reps subsequently revealed they were only pals.
Jamie was photographed on a double date in August 2022 with his new girlfriend and Love Island co-stars Molly Smith and Callum Jones.
Their announcement comes after Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, who have been together for four years, confirmed their engagement earlier this year.
In July, the pair, both 24, announced their long-awaited engagement to their millions of fans, with Tommy proposing while cradling their daughter, Bambi.
Love Island is streaming on ITVX.
