Love Island actress Malin Andersson has revealed her daughter Xaya has been rushed to hospital, and opened out about the constraints of being ‘a working single parent’.
In January of last year, the reality star, who starred on the ITV2 dating show in 2016, gave birth to a baby girl.
Sharing a post on Instagram, Malin wrote: ‘We all hear the highs of being a mum – but being a working single mum that has goals higher than the sky can be tough.lin said in an Instagram post.
‘Xayas poorly at the moment so it adds on extra pressure – she has chicken pox so I cancelled filming today and came back from my mini break with her late last night after a hospital visit.
‘My head feels cloudy, eyes sunk and I’m lying here waiting for her to wake up and need me. She needs me. I need her. It’s a beautiful exchange… only difference is nobody is here to look after me.’
Malin, who lost her mum to cancer in 2017, continued: ‘Mum where are you?’
‘That’s why I can’t stress the importance of looking after ourselves. Thoroughly. F**k the self care face masks now and then, I mean REALLY look after ourselves with daily practices and healthy implemented habits like walks fresh air, meditation.. because let me tell you it’s easy to crash.
‘And when I do crash.. it’s nasty. I become depressed, weak tired and anxious. I think about my past and my loneliness sweeps in.
‘Our minds are a powerful game. We live in our own heads rent-free so we may as well try make it a good place to be.

‘Today I accept defeat on the energy front but I know I won’t always feel like this. I’ll ride it out… until I’m ok again. Refreshed and ready to go.’
Malin signed off the post writing: ‘Being a Mumma is beautiful. But we sometimes don’t realise how hard it is until we stop to think and turn off auto-pilot.
‘I wanted this to remind you that you’re doing f**king amazing. The universe is watching you and your angels are protecting you. Please look after yourself.’
As well as the Instagram post, Malin shared a picture on her stories of Xaya’s little shows.
She wrote: ‘Poor Xaya has chicken pox and they are infected so I had to pack our stuff up and leave and take her to hospital last night.. she was so unwell with a high temperature.
‘Wasn’t settling properly not even in bed with me.’
‘Soft play is the devil lol,’ she jokingly added.
Malin divorced Xaya’s father Jared just weeks after giving birth last year, three years after her daughter Consy died.
Her first child died on January 22, 2019, at the age of four weeks after being born seven weeks early.
