In case you thought Casa Amor couldn’t bring any more drama to Love Island, the reality series is said to be sparking more explosions when it returns for the upcoming winter season with a shocking new twist.
Maya Jama is taking over from Laura Whitmore as the programme’s presenter, with a new batch of singletons entering the villa in just a matter of weeks.
The contestants will be heading over to South Africa where they’ll be staying in a lavish villa as they hunt for love.
And while they usually get a break from each other to test their new relationships as the boys move to Casa Amor, this time, they won’t be going far, according to reports.
Now, the islanders won’t just be sent a postcard or imagine their worst nightmares going on in rival villa, it’s said they’ll be able to hear it too.
A source revealed: ‘Casa Amor’s inhabitants have always been able to relax in the knowledge that the people they’re coupled up with are miles away.
‘Well not any more – if there’s any wild partying going on, the main villa may well be able to hear it.’

The insider continued to The Sun: ‘This year, it really could be a case of having trouble with the neighbours as the bombshells try to crack couples apart.’
Last series, in which Gemma Owen and Luca Bish come runners-up to Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Culculoglu, saw Casa Amor spark a lot of drama.
In case you’ve already forgotten, Andrew Le Page returned from the rival villa to Tasha Ghouri, but it wasn’t long before she found out that he’d been ‘sucking on [Coco Lodge’s] tits’.
In previous years, the Casa Amor postcards have caused plenty of tears, from Dani Dyer left distressed when she saw Jack Fincham’s ex had entered the other villa as a bombshell, to Millie Court finding out Liam Reardon had cheated on her with Lillie Haynes.
Love Island returns to ITV in 2023.
