The official premiere date for Love Island Season 10 (yes, the tenth) has been announced, and we won’t have to wait long!
Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were crowned champions when the winter series returned at the beginning of the year after a two-year hiatus, to the delight of devoted supporters.
And now it’s time to see a new group of singles get their act together, as the summer installment is just around the horizon.
On Monday, June 5 at 9 p.m., the tenth season of the annual hit dating show will premiere, and sure, Maya Jama will once again steal the show with her infectious charisma and sensational outfits.
Before confirming the premiere date, Love Island announced the new duty of care procedures that will be implemented for the show’s tenth season this summer.
After a “initial trial period” was conducted during the winter series in South Africa, the contestants will be required to suspend all social media accounts during the series.
The new ensemble will complete video training and guidance on a variety of topics, such as mutually respectful behaviour in relationships, behaviour patterns associated with controlling and coercive behaviour, and language regarding disability, sexuality, race and ethnicity, as well as microaggressions.
According to MailOnline, Andre Furtado, a graduate of economics, is among the celebrities scheduled to enter the villa this season.
‘Andre is the perfect Love Island signing… he’s cool, calm, collected, and ready to mingle,’ a source said.
‘He knows himself but without being arrogant and producers are hoping his intellect, as well as his creativity and handsome looks will make him a favourite among the females.’
Molly Marsh, a Yorkshire native, is believed to be in ‘final discussions’ to join the ensemble of Love Island.
The 24-year-old is the daughter of former Coronation Street star Janet Marsh.
As a performer in her own right, Molly has toured the country in pantomimes such as Oliver! and Sleeping Beauty, and she is also an influencer on social media.
Michael Owen’s daughter Gemma Owen placed second with her now-ex-boyfriend Luca Bish last summer, and she has since achieved tremendous success with influencer initiatives and brand deals.
Jack Keating, the son of Ronan Keating, appeared as a Casa Amor stunner, but failed to make an impression. He is now the father of a newborn girl.
A Love Island representative told Metro.co.uk that any rumours thus far are speculation and that the cast will be announced in due time.
Cannot wait!
Love Island returns on Monday June 5 at 9pm on ITV2.
