Viewers of Love Island have been left laughing after some very cruel subtitles referring to Tom Clare and Casey O’Gorman’s talent contest performances.
The return of the talent competition saw some unexpected performances, like Lana Jenkins’ magic tricks, Sanam Harrinanan’s ‘fake sobbing,’ and Will Young savagely roasting the entire villa with a scathing rap calling them all out.
Yet, it was Tom and Casey who stole the show.
While Casey blew his trumpet, the 23-year-old player chose to cap the night with a version of Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are. Literally.
If the performances weren’t enough to make the islanders and those watching at home laugh, the translations did the trick.
In one occasion, the subtitles read: ‘He blows trumpet untunefully,’ emphasising the islanders’ response: ‘They imitate trumpet. Laughter that is muffled’.
Meanwhile, Tom’s singing was called ‘Out of tune’ as well as ‘And out of time’.

‘Lmaooooo, not the subtitles going “singing out of tune” when Tom started singing,’ one viewer laughed.
Another penned: ‘The subtitles saying “plays trumpet untunefully” is taking me out,’ while someone else highlighted how ‘savage’ they were.
Lana and Ron Hall were the first to lose their cool while watching recruitment consultant Casey’s act, with viewers comparing it to the hilarious moment Andrew Le Page lost it during Indiyah Polack’s legendary recording performance.
From Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman’s synchronised dance on the inaugural winter season to Millie Court’s ‘strange’ piano solo, the talent show episode has provided us plenty of iconic Love Island moments throughout the year.
Yet Indiyah’s magical moment will always be remembered fondly, with one individual comparing it to Casey: ‘Casey was really tryingna replicate Indiyah 2.0 moment with the trumpet but it was just not givinggggg. Nothing will ever match this feeling.’
‘Casey needs to form a band with Millie and Indiyah,’ another added.
At the talent show, Samie Elishi dazzled the audience with her tapdancing talents, while Jessie Wynter and Rosie Seabrook sang Don’t Cha by the Pussycat Dolls.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
