Love Island 2019 finalist Molly-Mae Hague has shared her thoughts with fans on Gemma Owen and Luca Bish’s seemingly unconventional ’love language’.
Gemma and Luca have been coupled up since early on in this year’s series, and have remained one of the most solid pairs in the Villa.
However, they have been involved in various clashes in recent days, after returning from Casa Amor.
While neither were tempted by any of the new bombshell islanders, Gemma was accused of ‘flirting’ with Billy Brown, which caused Luca to get quite riled up in the Mad Movies challenge.
They also rowed earlier this week after the Mile-High challenge saw Gemma jokingly lick Adam Collard’s chest, with her other half storming off out the Villa after addressing what happened in the task.
But the pair were all-smiles on their final epic date on Friday night, but not all fans were left convinced, with many labelling it as ‘awkward’.
One person who made her thoughts on the pair’s relationship clear was former islander Molly-Mae, who is still dating Tommy Fury, who she met on the show, after three years.
Sharing a snap of Gemma while on the date, she captioned it: ‘What a girl [heart eyes emoji].
‘But is her’s and Luca’s love language acting like they hate each other? Because that date was different…’ she asked fans on her Instagram story.
It came as those watching on screen couldn’t help but cringe, especially when Gemma seemed to ‘friendzone’ Luca, calling him her ‘best mate’.
Talking about what life would be like for the pair after exiting the villa, where their relationship would be put to far greater tests than bombshells and Casa Amor, Luca said: ‘Even on the outside world, at this time in my life I didn’t think someone would come around and make me feel how you have.’
Gemma replied: ‘Since I’ve met you, I’m like, you’re more than just a partner, I do genuinely think I’ve found a best mate in here.’
‘Me too,’ he replied, adding: ‘Obviously being here with you, I don’t think I would have had a better date, and I am lucky to have you.’
Meanwhile, Molly-Mae seemed to through her support behind Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, after viewing their very romantic date.
She told fans: ‘Sorry but I’m crying at Tasha and Andrew?’
The duo were whisked off on a very romantic Kardashian-esque beach date, which left viewers swooning – but could they end up winning on Monday night?
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
