Tanya Manhenga of Love Island has claimed she ‘doesn’t feel famous’ and confirmed she’s returning to university.
After a tumultuous eight weeks, the 23-year-old biomedical student finished fourth alongside Shaq Muhammad, receiving only 2% of the public vote in the final.
The couple had their fair share of drama, from heated confrontations to the first ‘I love you,’ and Tanya even dragged Martin Akinola back from Casa Amor.
Tanya has claimed that despite being on our televisions every night for two months, she doesn’t feel famous.
She responded to a query on her Instagram stories about pursuing her studies at university.
‘You must finish. ‘I don’t start things and then abandon them,’ she explained.
She previously discussed her return to reality after leaving the villa.
Tanya shared: ‘I honestly don’t feel famous I just feel like normal me with loads of people knowing me.’
Elsewhere, Tanya revealed she had ‘no regrets’ from her time on the show, writing: ‘I have no regrets because I believe everything happens for a reason. And those things lead you to where you are meant to be.
‘I found Shaq in there and left with him stronger so no regrets.’

In a sequence of emoticons, she implied that Love Island hadn’t exposed the’real person’ in another response.
The house’s most tumultuous relationship came under siege from the couple’s closest friends and family in the penultimate episode of the reality dating programme.
One of Shaq’s buddies said throughout the episode that Tanya had ‘done him dirty,’ while his sister counselled him against trusting and forgiving too early.
She said: ‘I wish she had dealt with situations differently. Going forward don’t be so quick to forgive, people have to actually do the work to show you that they’ve… do you know what I mean?
‘We could tell you weren’t yourself, it was hard to watch you’.
Love Island is streaming on ITVX.
