Tom Clare of Love Island has announced that he and Samie Elishi have broken up, only days after she confessed she just went on the show for the attention.
The pair met on the most recent season of the reality dating programme and advanced to the final, where they were named third place.
The duo, like many others in the villa, had their fair share of disagreements and emotional moments, but reaffirmed their love for one another during the final episodes.
The two declared they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend soon after the event ended.
However, after one month, they have chosen to part ways.
After allegations circulated earlier this week that the pair was the latest in their series to split up, Tom, 23, confirmed the news on Wednesday.

‘Didn’t think I’d be writing this but me and Samie have gone our separate ways,’ he posted in a statement to his Instagram stories.
‘We are still on good terms, and I have nothing but love and respect for her.’
He added: ‘I’m gutted it’s come to an end, but I truly wish Samie the best.’

Samie, 22, acknowledged last week that she merely signed up for the programme to obtain attention.
Speaking on her new YouTube programme, Chloe vs The World, former Love Islander Chloe Burrows was questioned if she went on the show to pursue love or fame.
‘I’m going to be honest, mine was the second one. I didn’t expect to meet anyone,’ she said.
The pre-recorded interview was with footballer Tom, who stated that he went on the show to build a lasting connection.
‘I really wanted to meet someone, but in the first two weeks I was like, “I’m stuffed here, there’s no one for me”.’

Samie then joked over the top of her then-boyfriend about anybody being on the programme for love, stating, ‘It’s f***ing Love Island.’
Their breakup follows the breakups of three other couples after the cameras stopped filming last month.
Casey O’Gorman, 26, and Rosie Seabrook, 24, were the first couple to call it quits on their romance just days after leaving the dating programme.
Zara Lackenby-Brown and Jordan Odofin also announced their breakup on the same day, while Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda were the third pair to call it quits.
Love Island is streaming on ITVX.
