Mariah Carey spent some lovely family time with her twins Moroccan and Monroe earlier this week, but might have done better choosing some different footwear.
She took her two children to Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio, and posted about her wonderful experience on Instagram.
But, she admitted, if she could do the theme park trip all over again, she’d probably take a pair of flats just in case.
‘Had the best time at Cedar Point! Never again with the heels, though!’ she captioned her gallery post.
In the comments, American singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson reminded Mariah to remember her roots when it comes to packing extra shoes.
‘Come on now, you know the New Yorker thing throwing flats into the bag!’ Debbie said. Mariah covered a Debbie song earlier this year.

Debbie continued with the advice: ‘My trick is jazz shoes. You can fold ’em and put ‘em in your pocket.’
Further down in the comments, a fan wondered what it might be like if you were to see Mariah Carey at a theme park.
The user said: ‘Imagine being on that roller coaster and seeing Mariah. I’d scream [Mariah’s hit song] Fantasy the whole ride.’
However, some fans did notice that while Mariah might not have packed extra shoes, she did change her entire outfit in between photos.
‘It’s you having a wardrobe change at the park.’
Three weeks ago, news emerged that Mariah’s home was targeted in a burglary while she was on holiday in Italy.
The house was broken into during the last week of July.
Earlier today, the beloved Cedar Point theme park (which saw 3.6 million visitors across 2017) permanently closed down one of its rides.
The Top Thrill Dragster was temporarily closed in August 2021 after a metal object flew off the ride and struck a park attendee in the head.
A report later blamed the incident on an ‘instantaneous overload fracture’, which caused a bolt to come loose and strike a woman waiting to get on the ride.
