Hayley Palmer, The Chase actor Mark Labbett’s girlfriend, paid her guy the highest praise before revealing she’d never watched him on the famous quiz show.
Earlier this year, it was claimed that the ITV quiz show’s ace, nicknamed as ‘The Beast,’ was’smitten’ with his new girlfriend.
Hayley, a TV presenter who works as an entertainment journalist for GB News, was claimed to have known Mark for’some time’ before flames flew.
The couple appeared on Wednesday’s Loose Women alongside hosts Brenda Edwards, Jane Moore, Coleen Nolan, and Kelle Bryan.
Mark and the panel couldn’t help but poke fun at one other because both The Chase and Loose Women were nominated for National Television Awards this year, prompting Hayley to make a cheeky confession.
‘I don’t actually watch The Chase, no offence,’ she told a rather shocked Mark.
‘I’m never in, I’m always going out so I’m never in to sit down and watch it, so I do apologise about that.’
She added: ‘I did come to see Beat the Chasers and watched and was impressed. He got everything right and I was just like “wow that’s really sexy.”’
I’m sure that statement made up for her absence from the main event!
According to MailOnline, the pair bonded over their love of Maltesers, and so Mark always makes sure to bring a bag of the moreish chocolates on every one of their dates.
Hayley confessed that it’s been difficult to keep up with their common enjoyment of the snack while on vacation in LA while Mark filming Master Minds.
‘They don’t sell Maltesers in LA, so we’ve been struggling to keep up with our own tradition,’ she told the publication.
Speaking about their 16-year age-gap, Mark previously said: ‘Obviously, I’m a little bit older than her, but I think it depends on who you’re with. I’d argue I’m a very childish 57.’
Mark previously married Katie, 31, with whom he had a son, Lawrence.In 2020, he blamed their marriage problems on their 27-year age difference and confinement.
The couple has recently begun posting social media updates about their ‘dates,’ which have included a trip to the beach and a Mamma Mia brunch at London’s O2. Hayley also joked about having to reach for her heels all the time now that she’s standing next to 6ft7 Mark.
