The drama, tears and magic of a bride walking down the aisle to a groom she’s only then seeing for the first time is always a hit with viewers, and it’s not long before it returns to our screens.
That’s right, Married At First Sight UK is back on Monday, and we can’t wait to see what’s about to come.
And we’re not the only ones, as MAFS Australia host Mel Schilling revealed what her favourite moment of the show is.
Mel joins Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas as they return to guide the newlyweds through the one-of-a-kind experience.
But sometimes, it’s not all the magic it’s made out to me, as Mel revealed to Christine Lampard on Lorraine this morning, admitting that sometimes things can get ‘cringey’.
Christine began: ‘I find it incredibly stressful watching the moment where they clock eyes and they glance at each other for the very first time.’

Mel chimed in: ‘That’s my favourite moment!’ before hearing Christine continue: ‘…and you know they don’t fancy each other, that is painful to watch.’
Quickly realising that when the couple don’t fancy each other, it’s not long her favourite moment, Mel added that it’s actually ‘a cringy moment. Absolutely.’
‘But when the eyes lock and you see them light up, it’s just magic,’ she continued.
‘It’s relief Mel, is what it is!’ Christine continued.
Elsewhere, Mel admitted that sometimes she finds it really ‘hard’, when the couples don’t last, as she cares about them so much.
‘I’m sitting there with real human beings and I come to care about them,’ she shared, adding: ‘So when things go Rocky I really feel it and I find it hard.’
She also admitted that she does actually have ‘favourites’ on the series.
When asked by Christine whether she has favourites, Mel replied: ‘It’s a bit like asking someone if they have a favourite child… but yes!’
Mel first joined MAFS in 2016 on the Australian version of the show, joining the UK edition last year.
Married At First Sight UK returns to E4 at 9pm on Monday, August 29.
