Married At First Sight UK star Richie Dews has revealed that some important scenes from his wedding ceremony to Lara Eyre didn’t ‘make the cut’ to the Channel 4 episode.
The musician met Canadian dancer Lara for the first time at the altar, before they embarked on their honeymoon and moved in together.
But, it wasn’t smooth sailing, as Lara labelled Richie her ‘project’ she needed to work on and his lack of experience in relationships left her disappointed.
In last night’s episode, the pair put an end to things during the second commitment ceremony.
Looking back at their time on the show, Richie admitted that some important scenes didn’t get shown, including getting to speak to Lara’s father.
‘I did get to chat to the father of the bride at the wedding and he was a really lovely guy,’ Richie shared.

He added to The Daily Star: ‘So I kind of wish this had made the cut and some of his great speech had been included.’
As well as that, Richie’s performance to his new bride was cut down.
‘Aside, the viewers definitely missed out on the bridge and chorus of the wedding song!’ he said.

Meanwhile, he admitted that the producers on the show did give him an accurate portrayal, saying: ‘You really have to put your faith in the production company from the very start to get the most out of the experience and for me, it’s definitely been so far so good.
‘You try to be as true to yourself as possible throughout the experiment but let’s face it, there’s always going to be times you look away from the screen but that’s life.
‘Nothing’s ever perfect and being a part of this whole thing really is something to be celebrated, at least by me!’

Last night, both Richie and Lara were teary as they shared how ‘gutted’ they were to be ending their journey, but knew the decision was for the best.
Several viewers were heartbroken to say goodbye to Richie and Lara, with one person saying they were their ‘favourite couple’.
Married At First Sight UK continues tonight at 9pm on E4 and is available to watch on All 4.
