Martin Akinola may have been dumped from the Love Island villa, but he’s eager to dish the dirt and has labelled Ron Hall this season’s ‘greatest game player’.
While Martin, 27, struck up a friendship with Tanya Manhenga, 23, when he joined Villa Amor as a bombshell, she ultimately chose Shaq Muhammad, 24.
Martin, who was forced to pack his belongings and leave South Africa, is now speaking out about what he witnessed during his time inside, and he has no qualms about stating precisely what he believes.
He didn’t hesitate when asked who he thinks is playing games.
‘Sorry Ron. It’s got to be you,’ he said.
He added: ‘[Ron] just gives me like “I’m doing this for the camera” [vibes].
‘That’s personal opinion again, maybe you’re not, maybe you are. Personal opinions,’ he said while filming a TikTok for Grazia.
Back in January, on the first episode of Winter Love Island, financial adviser Ron, 25, paired up with make-up artist Lana Jenkins, also 25.
While they are currently together and have been named the series’ frontrunners, it’s safe to say it’s been a difficult path for them.
Along the way, Ron has had affairs with Tanyel Revan, 26, and Ellie Spence, 25, while failing to focus on just one woman at a time.
While it has occasionally drove people watching at home insane, other Islanders, such as Shaq, have been commended for calling Ron’s behaviour out.
‘I’m going to be honest now, the way that you treated that girl, is so out of order, and it’s a bit wrong because you’ve said one thing and done another,’ he said a few weeks back.
‘That girl has serious feelings for you and I feel like you’ve taken complete advantage of her, because you know that she’s such a nice girl and she’s going to be there for you for the whole time.’
Martin, not content with simply spewing his thoughts about Ron, also participated in a game of Snog, Marry, Avoid, and stated that he would want to go as far away from his own previous love interest as possible.
‘Snog Rosie because she is fit, marry Jessie or Sanam because they are both lovely girls and avoid Tanya, run away,’ he said.
Although Martin did not have a long-term relationship on Love Island, he did attempt to fire his shot with host Maya Jama after his left, claiming on Love Island: Aftersun that he was distracted by her ‘beauty’.
While she appeared surprised and laughed it off, the live crowd couldn’t get enough of Martin’s bravado and applauded him.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
