Matthew Perry gave followers a rare insight into his family life when he posted a photo of himself with his father on Instagram.
On Sunday, the Friends star, 54, posted a lovely moment with his father on his own social media account.
Posing in what seemed to be a home’s kitchen, the Hollywood actor stated that he was spending the weekend with his father, John.
He captioned the photo for his followers, ‘Here is myself, and my father John, both holding a beverage.’
The Chandler Bing singer was dressed in a navy polo short-sleeved collared shirt and matching loose-fitting navy slacks in the family portrait.
As the photographer caught the lovely moment between the couple, he grasped a glass of black liquid identical to the beverage held in his father’s hand and leaned in for a hug.

John was dressed in a red checkered collared long-sleeved shirt that he tucked into cream chinos held up by a brown leather belt.
He smiled broadly as he hugged his son, who had just recovered from health concerns as part of his recovery journey.
Fans raced to the comment area beneath his photo to express their feelings on the family portrait.
One said: ‘Could he be any more prouder!!!’, while another wrote: ‘Looks like a proud father to me’.
Others made reference to Matthew’s actor dad’s appearance on the hit 90s sitcom and noted: ‘Wait! He was Joshua’s dad in the episode where Jennifer was wearing a nightie as a dress!! His best line “I like this one, she seems smart”!’
‘I loved it when your father made an appearance on Friends in season 4. Playing Joshua’s dad,’ a separate social media account shared under the photo.
Before Friends, John gained a reputation for himself as the suave sailor from the Old Spice fragrance ads that aired on television in the 1970s and 1980s.
Matthew has grown more active on social media since the release of his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing last November, providing insights into his new sober life.
He disclosed in the enormously famous book how he fought a drug and alcohol addiction, which nearly cost him his life.
After his colon burst due to narcotic misuse, the actor was informed he had a ‘two percent’ chance of survival.
Outlining the extent of his addiction, the A-lister stated that he required 14 operations to restore and undo all of the damage to his abdomen.
He also admitted to checking into a treatment clinic 15 times in the prior years in the hopes of repairing his connection with drugs and addiction.
