Maura Higgins gets a new job as the social media presenter for Love Island Games, but it comes with a possible drawback: she will have to spend time with Curtis Pritchard.
Her most recent presenting role follows a successful stint doing the same for Love Island USA, which is quite promising for her career. Curtis is also returning to the Love Island universe, but this time as a competitor. That must be a comfort for his other contenders, who no longer have to worry about who will make their coffee in the mornings so they can start the day on the right foot.
This might make things unpleasant for Maura and Curtis, who were formerly an official relationship.
In 2019, the couple met on the ITV dating show. Initially, they didn’t put their eggs in the same basket, with Curtis dating Amy Hart and Maura getting to know Tom Walker and Marvin Brooks.
When their previous relationships failed, they found their way back to each other and concluded the show in fourth place.
After leaving the Mallorca resort, the couple became official boyfriend and girlfriend, however the relationship ended within a year.

Maura, 32, first stated in a statement that there were “no bad feelings on either side,” but she later alleged that he had cheated on her.
‘It’s kind of a kick in the teeth that I’ve been cheated on by my last two boyfriends, but I will be stronger for this,’ she told Fabulous magazine.
Curtis, 27, subsequently stated, “The answer is no, I did not cheat on Maura at all.” I’ve replied it’.
He later dated dancers Amber Pierson and Sophie Sheridan, while Maura dated Strictly Come Dancing‘s Giovanni Pernice and Love Island’s Chris Taylor. She hasn’t spoken publicly on her current dating status, however she has been caught kissing Chris Hemsworth stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton.
It’s been more than three years since their divorce, so the former couple can let bygones be bygones.
Maura certainly seems unfazed by the casting and wrote on Instagram: ‘BACK IN FIJI!!!!!🌴Excited to be giving you all the behind the scenes gossip for the first ever season of #LoveIslandGames …Can’t wait for you to see what’s in store – tune in November 1st only on @peacock’.
She will be joining Maya Jama, who will take over as host, and UK narrator Iain Sterling, who has also been hired.
Former Love Island stars from the UK, US, Australia, Sweden, Germany, and France will compete in team and pair tasks while managing dating, eliminations, recoupling, and dramatic new arrivals while living together in a Fiji villa.
Curtis, Eyal Booker, Georgia Steel, Jack Fowler, Megan Barton-Hanson, Mike Boateng, Liberty Poole, Toby Aromolaran, and, of course, Scott Van-der-sluis are among the 25 participants.
That’s correct, Scott, 22, is returning for his third Love Island season in four months. Is he without a place to live?
