Alexandra Mardell of Coronation Street and her professional partner Kai Widdrington won last year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.
Before scooping the gleaming Strictly Silver Star trophy, the Emma Brooker star impressed judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and Head Judge Shirley Ballas, as well as the studio audience, with their Quickstep to Sleigh Ride by The Ronettes.
Last year’s programme featured five other celebrities: Larry Lamb and Nadiya Bychkova, Rosie Ramsey and Neil Jones, George Webster and Amy Dowden, Ricky Haywood-Williams and Luba Mushtuk, and Nicola Roberts and Giovanni Pernice.
To end the evening in classic Strictly fashion, the couples and judges all returned to the ballroom for a Christmas cracker performance of All You Need is Love by The Beatles.
