The next Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two host has been unveiled.
Rylan Clark, the current host of the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off, announced his departure earlier this year and has since teased his replacement.
Fans have been predicting who may be replacing the emblem, and it turns out that some of them were correct.
Curious Strictly fans turned in to The One Show on Friday night, after it was announced earlier this week that the new face of It Takes Two will be revealed.
And now we know who she is: Fleur East!
She spoke on The One Show on Friday, when she expressed her enthusiasm about hosting It Takes Two and stated that Rylan has left ‘large boots to fill.’
‘I’m so excited to be in it … it’s going to be a lot of fun,’ she said.
She revealed she had been on holidays with her husband when she got the call letting her know she had got the gig.
‘I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t believe it.’
‘I’ve been so nervous! It’s a lot to take in.’
Fleur, who competed on Strictly last year, claimed it was tough to maintain the secret and that she had to keep herself occupied to avoid spilling the beans.
Plenty of renowned Strictly faces were thrown into the mix, from Joe Sugg to Fleur East, but one name stood out above the rest, with fans confident Jayde Adams would take on the job.
Stacey Dooley was another great option for those who were urgently trying to figure it out.
Rylan announced his departure from It Takes Two in April, following four years of co-hosting with Zoe Ball and later Janette Manrara.
‘After four amazing years, it’s time for me to hang up my sparkly jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two,’ wrote the 34-year-old in a statement.
‘I’ve had the best time hosting the show alongside Janette and Zoe and I can’t thank the amazing team enough for always putting on a great show.
‘I’ve been welcomed into the Strictly family and will firmly hold that title dear to me.
It’s time for me to give the torch to someone else and see what else life has in store for me.
‘Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart… and dancing feet.’
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
