According to reports, there are no plans to replace Nick and Vanessa Lachey as presenters of Love Is Blind, despite a petition demanding for their removal.
After the season four reunion aired on Netflix earlier this month, the pair was chastised for their presenting abilities, generating a wave of criticism.
Viewers particularly criticised Vanessa’s interrogation when the 42-year-old inquired when the married couples would welcome children.
During the incident, a petition demanding for the pair’s replacement revived, garnering over 42,000 signatures at the time of writing.
Although others have asked for Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton to take their place, according to Entertainment Tonight, the couple will remain.
Vanessa and Nick, both 49, have been at the forefront of the Netflix experiment from its inception in 2020.
They were, however, met with a surge of rage as the platform eventually released the issue-plagued season four reunion.
Vanessa disappointed many fans by failing to hold some of the women in the cast accountable for their behaviour during the experiment.
She was also chastised for asking married couples when they planned to start a family.
Although the actress has yet to respond to the backlash, she appeared to reach out to Paul Peden with a peace offering after he stated in the programme that he felt ‘interrogated’ by her.
The groom – who split with Micah Lussier at the altar – shared a picture of a bouquet of flowers and a note on Instagram, with the message: ‘Thanks for acknowledging the accidental misleading @vanessalachey.’
After receiving the flowers, he disclosed to People Magazine that the Netflix production crew also sent over a different floral arrangement.
‘They did send me flowers but that was separate from the apology,’ he said. ‘[Vanessa] sent me a message acknowledging that she “may have been misled about how you wanted to defend yourself.”
‘I think it was supposed to be a sort of apology for the clear bias. At least that’s the way I took it.’
