Olivia Colman may have been overjoyed to be the next actor to join the Marvel world, but she said she had one minor quibble.
The 49-year-old actress has already been in a number of critically praised films and television episodes, including The Favourite, The Crown, and Heartstopper, but she has just recently joined a big franchise with her casting in Secret Invasion.
The series follows Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and his comrades as they seek to prevent an invasion of Earth by Skrulls.
Olivia, who plays high-ranking M16 agent Sonya Falsworth, who is under intense pressure to preserve England’s national security interests throughout the infiltration, has recently revealed that there is one little aspect of her character that she dislikes.
While most Marvel performers got to explore with a variety of superpowers, Olivia was stuck portraying a normal old human with no flying, super strength, or healing skills.
She’s now said that her admission into the realm of superheroes was one for which she begged to be given a power.

‘I kept asking if I could be bitten by something, or fall into a vat of something,’ she said in a recent interview with Empire.
‘They were having none of it,’ she added.
However, she was ecstatic when she arrived on set and met her co-star.
‘I loved him’ she said of Samuel.
‘Loudest man you’ve ever met. Joyful, funny, naughty. He said he thought my trainers were “dope”. [I] didn’t take them off for a year,’ she added.
When Olivia’s participation in the series was disclosed last September, fans went insane.
‘I’m only watching Secret Invasion for Olivia Colman, I hope people know that,’ one person admitted on social media.
‘EXCUSE ME? IS THAT QUEEN OLIVIA COLMAN IN THE PEOPLE’S MCU?? OMG OMG OMG,’ another said.
‘OLIVIA COLMAN IS NOW IN THE MCU WE WON,’ celebrated a third person.
Secret Invasion premieres on Wednesday June 21 on Disney Plus.
