Eurovision viewers have been perplexed by the presence of a children’s cartoon character.
While the second semi-final programme featured a number of emotional performances, Peppa Pig kept fans entertained.
During the intermission, the enormous pink figure appeared, presumably leading a conga-line around the M&S Bank Arena.
BGT judge Alesha Dixon, Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham, and Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina were introducing the voting conditions.
Meanwhile, those of us watching at home recognised Scott Mills and Rylan Clark, who, upon seeing Peppa on air, began explaining that she had ‘taken over’ Rylan’s dressing area.
‘That’s Peppa Pig,’ Rylan confirmed as a dancing Peppa appeared.

‘Who now has my dressing room,’ he continued, going on to explain: ‘My dressing room was removed today, it used to say Rylan, now says Peppa Pig.’
However, fans were more concerned in what Peppa Pig was doing at Eurovision.
I hope Peppa Pig wins Eurovision, absolute QUEEN.

‘I hope Peppa Pig wins Eurovision, absolute QUEEN,’ another joked.
Someone else cheered: ‘WHY IS PEPPA AT EUROVISION I just know Mummy Pig hustled real hard to get her there.’
