Peter Andre has stated that he has no plans to return to I’m A Celebrity…I Need to Get Out of Here!
The Mysterious Girl singer, 50, agreed to perform on the third season of the reality show in 2004.
It was then that he met Katie Price, with whom he married the following year and went on to have two children.
He then returned to the show in 2011.
While he was not a camper, he returned for a single day to assign tasks to remaining campmates, including Mark Wright and Fatima Whitbread, in exchange for treats.
But, as the show returns to television, Peter has stated that he is unlikely to return for a third time.
‘I loved it, but once you’ve done it…’ he began.
‘I went in twice, so I have been in again when [current campmate] Fatima Whitbread was in it.
‘You experience things that are amazing, but I don’t think I could go back,’ he added when speaking to Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden on their Heart Breakfast show.
While Peter conceded he hadn’t seen the most recent season in South Africa, he stated they had a ‘fantastic line-up’.
Amanda also stated that former The Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts “said the same thing…she’d never go back.”
Last year Peter reflected on his time in the jungle, where he ‘fell in love’.
He also spoke about how he and Katie’s children Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, were the ‘only jungle babies’ in the show’s 21-year history.
‘They’re the only ones to be born from the show I believe,’ he said while appearing on This Morning.
He also confessed a month ago that he had ‘anxiety’ when watching I’m A Celebrity last season and that he wouldn’t be able to undergo the challenges that renowned faces are put through anymore.
‘It’s unbelievable. When I think about how I felt last night watching the guys go in and watching Chris Moyles, thinking “Okay, he’s got the VIP, yeah it’s gonna be a bit dodgy but it can’t be as bad as the people walking on the plank,’ he said.
‘Which let me tell you, we didn’t do 17, 18 years ago. For me, that freaked me out, I was feeling anxiety 12,000 miles away. Then, when Chris and Olivia [Attwood] got put in the helicopter to jump out at 10,000 feet, I thought, “I couldn’t do this. I’d fail at that point”.’
He then went on to say he would have ‘never got that far’.
I’m A Celebrity… South Africa continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
