Sharon Osbourne has made her feelings about Hugh Grant’s embarrassing interview known loud and clear.
The Notting Hill star went viral during an embarrassing red carpet interview at the Oscars, where he was stopped for a conversation by model Ashley Graham, who was interviewing guests for ABC and looked completely uninterested in the runway star’s queries.
The discussion saw him offer up most of the answers in three words or less, and when she asked him what he was wearing, he delightfully (and quite frankly) replied: ‘My suit’.
While the incredibly brief discussion had viewers scratching their heads over his actions, Sharon has now chimed in.
Appearing on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored, she said: ‘I love Hugh Grant but he was out of order.’
Continuing despite Piers’ interruptions over Sharon’s praise, she said: ‘I think he’s a great actor, I will say the thing is if you don’t want to talk to press, if you’re bored by it all, don’t do the red carpet. That’s the way it is.’
Piers didn’t hold back either, labelling Hugh a ‘d***’.
‘Maybe I shouldn’t have used the D-word but to me he just behaved like a d***. He just treated Ashley Graham I felt with total disrespect.
‘And he pretended like the job of somebody on the red carpet, if you’re an actor at the Oscars is not to talk to the media, or if you have to, look like you’re sucking lemons.’
Despite the fact that the tape made viewers cringe, Ashley accepted the interview in stride and laughed it off.
She told a reporter: ‘My mama told me to kill people with kindness’.
Speaking to TMZ, she said that she had ‘so much fun’ at the star-studded event. ‘My feet hurt though.’
Hugh characterised the Oscars as ‘vanity fair’ during her awkward conversation at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles during the 95th Academy Awards, before adding that he was thrilled to see ‘no one in particular’.
When Ashley questioned him who created his suit before asking about his appearance in Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, he stated that he couldn’t recall the name of his tailor.

But Hugh wasn’t in the mood for playing ball, and quipped: ‘Well I’m barely in it, I was in it for about three seconds.’
