Piers Morgan has turned down Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s cheeky request to ‘eat balls’ on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! next year.
This year, the likes of former health secretary Matt Hancock, pop icon Boy George and the camp’s first ever royal Mike Tindall have headed into the jungle, joining Lioness Jill Scott and Loose Women star Charlene White.
But before the first celeb has even been booted from the camp, Ant and Dec already have their sights on who they want in the jungle next year.
Following the first part of Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers for his TalkTV show Uncensored, in which the footballer takes aim at Manchester United’s lack of progress, Ant and Dec have invited them both to the jungle.
In a video clip shared on the Geordie duo’s social media, Ant told Dec: ‘I’ll tell you what with the weird things going on with Man United he might be in here next year!
‘See you next year Ronaldo!’
Dec replied: ‘Ronaldo has just been interviewed by Piers Morgan, now Piers Morgan, there’s a campmate I’d love to see!’
Ant added, as the pair chuckled: ‘Now Piers Morgan, see you next year kidder!
‘Eat this ball!’
Looks like Piers won'[t be heading into the jungle anytime soon though, making his feelings heard loud and clear on Twitter.
‘Thanks lads @antanddec but on balance I’d rather eat my own testicles,’ he penned.
Despite choosing not to take on the grim bushtucker trials, Piers hasn’t held back from commenting on this year’s show.
The presenter and journalist recently ripped into Hancock for appearing on the show while his constituents struggle with the cost of living crisis.
The former Health Secretary joined the 2022 series to outrage from his constituents, the broader UK and even his own Conservative colleagues.
Since arriving in the jungle, Hancock has been voted to do multiple Bushtucker trials, having been splashed with slurry, coming face-to-face with spiders and snaked and forced to eat animal parts.
All of this, Piers says, he is finding preferable to meeting the people who voted him in and who is paid to represent as an MP.
On a recent episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the host broadcast from a new location: Hancock’s local pub, The Cock Inn in West Suffolk.
Beginning the show, Morgan slated the MP as ‘putting the c*** into Hancock,’ and said it seemed the Conservative would rather eat kangaroo testicles than meet his constituents.
‘He’s been filmed eating camel penis, cow’s anus, and a sheep’s vagina, apparently all in the name of promoting dyslexia awareness.
‘Yeah, right,’ he scoffed, saying it was ‘all about promoting himself’ and gaining a large cheque for his appearance.
He added: ‘They’re facing the same problems as much of the world, with soaring energy bills, stagnating wages, a health service crumbling… while Hancock squirms in the Australian jungle, humiliating himself yet again.’
