At the London premiere of the programme on Tuesday night, Priyanka Chopra expressed her joy at the response the audience has given to her most recent endeavour, Citadel.
The 36-year-old Game of Thrones actor Richard Madden and the 62-year-old actor Stanley Tucci co-starred in the new espionage series on Prime Video, which seeks to excite viewers with its action-packed sequences and unexpected story twists.
The Indian actress impressed while strutting down the red satin carpet at the UK premiere of the series in a dress with a plunging neckline and mermaid length.
She wore her shoulder-length hair in gentle, glamorous waves and matched her lipstick to the colour of her outfit.
When asked what she thought of the public’s response to her new enterprise, the single mother paused to speak and smiled gorgeously.
She laughed in amusement when she learned that online users had been referring to her character Nadia Sinh and co-star Richard’s Mason Kane as the sexiest spy in the world.
‘Aw I think that’s awesome! The show means so much to us, we’ve put so much work into the show.
‘It’s five years in the making, it was almost one and a half years filming it, so you know, it feels really, really great to be able to get positive reactions to the work.’
The diva admitted she was happy that a select few would get to feel the intensity of the programme on the big screen before she settled in to watch an episode inside the premiere theatre.
She explained: ‘I’m really excited for everyone to see it on the big screen because this show is intended to be in your living room but being able to see it on the big screen is very exciting.’
Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas and Richard Madden, among others, also strutted their stuff on the red carpet, but executive producers the Russo Brothers gave some insight into Citadel’s upcoming move.
Joe and Anthony said that they will be travelling to Rome with none other than actor Stanley as their premiere plus one to present their concept, which also has Italian and Indian spin-offs.
The producing duo slyly responded, “Maybe,” when asked if the well-known foodie would be travelling with them to Italy. We shall see.
‘Stanley’s going to bring us! We’re off to Rome next on the press tour and Stanley’s going with us.
‘The thing I’m most excited about is where we’re going to dinner with Stanley on Friday night.’
Citadel premieres on Friday April 28 on Prime Video.
