Rita Ora is preparing to replace Nicole Scherzinger as a judge on The Masked Singer, adding another outstanding accomplishment to her resume.
The 32-year-old British pop singer has previously served as a judge on the UK edition of the show, as well as a coach on The Voice and a judge on The X Factor.
Rita will join Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, and Robin Thicke on the season 11 panel of judges.
The 10th season of The Masked Singer US will launch on September 27 – Nicole will still be there for that one.
The show’s Instagram page revealed her presence, with the Fox network competition informing their 472,000 fans on the account.
‘We’re grateful to have the amazing Rita Ora shine her light and join us as a panellist on The Masked Singer, season 11,’ the caption read.
In response, a fan commented that the rate at which The Masked Singer is releasing new seasons has caught them off guard: ‘We ain’t even get through season 10 yet!’
Rita, who has been a part of the UK series since January 2020, will, of course, add her Masked Singer judging expertise to the panellist lineup.
And, because the US version of the programme airs in the spring and fall, the UK version’s winter schedule will allow her to appear on both.
The Masked Singer US premiered in 2019, the same year as the UK version, however it has two seasons every year as opposed to one.
Nicole is headed to the United Kingdom to perform in a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Sunset Boulevard, which premiered on the West End in 1991.
The musical is based on the 1950 film of the same name, which is widely regarded as ‘the greatest movie about Hollywood’ by critics.
The Masked Singer airs on Fox in the US.
