After Joe Lycett made an X-rated This Morning joke during the second episode of Late Night Lycett, Rylan Clark’s face was a picture.
The 34-year-old presenter appeared on the new Channel 4 show on Friday, with This Country’s Daisy May Cooper, 36, Greg James, 37, and actor David Harewood, 57.
Joe, 34, introduced his visitors to a game called Finish Me Off at the end of the programme.
‘This next piece is titled after a phrase you frequently hear yelled behind the scenes of this morning, since it’s called Finish Me Off,’ Joe remarked before explaining how to play.
As the other guests broke out laughing, Rylan instantly covered his face with his palms.
Viewers at home were also taken aback by Rylan’s stunned expression, with one even wondering if the remark was directed at This Morning host Phillip Schofield.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: ‘Did anyone else notice how aghast Rylan looked at the idea of people getting “finished off” on This Morning? Makes you wonder if he knows something…’
Another posted: ‘We saw that @Rylan.’
Meanwhile, a third person inquired, ‘Was it a jab at Philip Schofield?’
Rylan used to be a frequent on This Morning, stopping into the studio in 2013 to provide the latest entertainment news before rising up to become a stand-in host.
In 2017, he announced his departure from the show, citing the fact that he was working 16-hour days.
Late Night Lycett airs Friday at 10pm on Channel 4.
