Michelle Heaton may have already endured a few serious injuries while preparing for the latest season of Dancing On Ice, but she has received some encouragement from none other than Shania Twain.
The 15th season premieres this weekend, with Olympic gold medalists Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, Diversity performer Ashley Banjo, and former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Oti Mabuse on the judging panel.
Former Liberty X singer Michelle, drag queen and TV personality The Vivienne, The Wanted frontman Siva Kaneswaran, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Culculoglu, and Towie’s Joey Essex are among the contestants this season.
On Friday afternoon, all of the hopefuls and their professional partners revealed the music that will serve as the backdrop to their first-ever dance, with Michelle, 43, and skater Lukasz Rozycki, also 43, revealing that they had opted on Wake Up Dreaming by country icon Shania Twain.
The Canadian singer then expressed her excitement at their choice by commenting on the video, which had been posted to the official Dancing On Ice page.
She wrote: ‘Can’t wait to see’.

Other songs chosen included Duran Duran’s Rio, Robbie Williams’ Mack the Knife, Harry Styles’ Sign of the Times, Black Box’s Ride on Time, and Britney Spears‘ Toxic.
Michelle admitted earlier this week that the rigorous training schedule was wearing her down.
She had never skated before, except at Christmas rinks with her children, and admitted it had been more difficult than she had anticipated.
‘I’ve been wearing knee pads, helmets, so I have been guarded up,’ she said.
She also recalled having four falls in one day last week, which she attributed to’menopausal brain fog’.
However, she isn’t the only one who has suffered a serious accident in recent weeks, with pro Christopher breaking his finger.
Despite initially joking it had happened during rehearsal, he then acknowledged it was due to simply ‘falling over in the dark’.
Dancing On Ice begins on Sunday at 6.30pm on ITV1.
