Sad news RuPaul’s Drag Race UK fans – Victoria Scone will not be returning. Cue the tears.
Today, the cast of season 4 was announced, with stars including Dakota Schiffer, Cheddar Gorgeous, Le Fil and Just May in the line-up.
While fans are brimming with excitement over the announcement, as they prepare for the series to come back later this month, several expressed their upset over the fact that Victoria wasn’t among the list of competitors.
Last year, Victoria – who was the first cis woman ever to compete in the Drag Race franchise – was regarded as a top contender for the crown in season three, but was forced to drop out early after sustaining a knee injury.
Given Veronica Green’s return to Drag Race UK in season three after withdrawing due to Covid the previous season, many fans were hoping Victoria would follow suit.
Alas, this apparently won’t be the case, with the BBC saying in a statement sent to Metro.co.uk: ‘Although Victoria will not be returning to the next series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Victoria is forever more a Ru Girl.’

Following the season four reveal, several of the season three queens have shared messages of good luck and encouragement for the new stars of the show.
In her signature witty fashion, Victoria shared a meme instead, comparing the cast of the new season to Mr Blobby. Because why not?
A number of Drag Race UK fans shared their sadness over Victoria not returning for season four – with some speculating that it might be because she could be lined up to compete on the upcoming spin-off Canada’s Drag Race vs The World.
‘Wait, no Victoria Scone?’ one devastated fan asked.
‘Where the hell is Victoria Scone,’ someone else said in response to the line-up, while another Twitter user remarked: ‘Robbed. Victoria Scone needs a full season.’
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4 premieres on Thursday September 22 on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
