Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash are the proud parents of six children, but they can’t agree on who is the driving force behind the enormous family.
The duo spent time in her art studio on Stacey Solomon’s Crafty Christmas, and when they set to work painting enormous Nutcrackers, the issue came up.
After reflecting on their miraculous year of becoming parents again, the topic swiftly shifted to whether they would have any more.
‘What do you think this year’s going to hold for us?’ asked Joe to which Stacey quickly interjected with: ‘I’m not getting pregnant again Joe if that’s what you’re insinuating.’
Loose Women panellist and Instagram darling Stacey, 34, has two sons from previous relationships – Zach, 15, and Leighton, 11, while actor and presenter Joe, 41, has son Harry, 16.Together they have welcomed three children – Rex, four, Rose, two, and 10-month-old Belle.
Joe laughed in response to her statement before saying: ‘Mate, you make out that I want the babies, whenever we have this conversation you go “I’m having no more babies” and then you give me the look as if to say “I want a baby”.’
A shocked Stacey accused Joe of being ‘seriously misled.’
The husband and wife continued with their playful banter, as they disagreed over who was the person initiating the ‘Shall we have another one?’ conversation.
‘As soon as one of our babies goes to nursery, you’re like “Right, time for another one”,’ Joe insisted.
‘And whose just gone to nursery? Rose.’
Stacey had no reaction at this moment and simply chuckled.
In any case, they appear to be content with the number of children they have, although Stacey confirmed earlier this year that they do not want any more.
‘At this point, we are struggling to say the least to be good parents, and try and work and do everything else in between,’ she confessed.
The renowned couple, who married in a tiny, private ceremony at their house in Essex, Pickle Cottage, in July 2022, are presently in their ‘non-romantic’ phase. She acknowledged that they only have a few nights together, which may make things tough.
‘I think me and Joe are in our non-romantic era. It is important just to get time for us, but we’re at that stage in our life where that’s not really possible.’
Speaking to OK!, she continued: ‘We recently went to a friend’s wedding and had a lovely night together, but outside of that it’s once or twice a year.’
‘We don’t want any more – we cannot cope with it. We wanted all these kids and we’re so grateful to have them. So we will get romantic – but in 20 years’ time.’
