Stacey Solomon departed Channel 4’s Bake Off: The Professionals after only one series, and Ellie Taylor took her place for the eighth.
The 39-year-old comic takes over the competition, which had previously been hosted by Tom Allen, in which professional bakers compete in culinary tasks to show their abilities.
Ellie had huge shoes to fill after fan favourite Stacey, 33, but she’s done a great job on her first show.
Her brilliance as a host has been appreciated by the show’s audience, who have lavished her with praise.
‘How fantastic is Ellie Taylor as a presenter on this???’ remarked one spectator. Another said she was a “wonderful pick” for the event.
Only a few minutes into the programme, one user had developed an opinion about Ellie by writing ‘Loving Ellie Taylor,’ and it didn’t appear to alter.
‘Brilliant,’ ‘breath of new air,’ and ‘great’ were among the other accolades.

Ellie also received encouragement from her Strictly Come Dancing partner Johannes Rabede, who commented on her Instagram photo, “Proud of you.”
Although her hosting was well received, some viewers were not pleased with her attire.

Ellie was pleased with her appearance and even quipped on the broadcast that her ASOS outfit was the reason she got the job.
We believe she’s adorable as well!
Liam Charles, who won Great British Bake Off in 2017 and has presented the competition since the third series, joined Ellie on the broadcast.
Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden have returned to assess the exquisite pastries.
Bake Off: The Professionals airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Channel 4.
