Stephanie Beacham has some very strong words about her Strictly Come Dancing stint, describing it as ‘absolutely hateful.’
The Dynasty actor took part in the BBC’s juggernaut series in 2007, where she was paired up with professional dancer Vincent Simone.
The Coronation Street star was the second celebrity to be eliminated from the competition after her Quickstep failed to impress the judges.
She was awarded six out of ten for her efforts from all four judges, with only Arlene Phillips voting to save her from the dreaded dance-off with EastEnders actor Letitia Dean.
Reflecting back on her bid to win the Glitterball Trophy, the 75-year-old did not hold back, although confessed she still tunes into the glitzy show, presented by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.
Stephanie explained: ‘I’m a fan of Strictly and I think [Anton Du Beke] is doing a terribly good job. But doing it was absolutely hateful.’
She told OK! Magazine: ‘Someone asked me the other night if I’d do Dancing On Ice. And, well, I didn’t spit out my food but I choked with the laughter of it.’

Asked why she had ruled out the ITV skating show, Stephanie responded: ‘Because… no! Thank you so much but I would not like to do that!
‘I don’t ride any more, I don’t ski any more. I don’t want to fall over any more. I could probably fall over very easily by myself without ice or horses.’

As well as Strictly, Stephanie also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, where she reached the finals, along with singer Dane Bowers and cage fighter Alex Reid.
The then 62-year-old was the first to be evicted in the final, with host Davina McCall delivering the bad news.
After studying at RADA, Stephanie soared to fame in the BBC drama Tenko, ITV series Connie and then Dynasty.
On the big screen, she acted opposite Marlon Brando in The Nightcomersand in horror films including, Dracula AD 1972.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.15pm on BBC One.
