Stranger Things star Maya Hawke has said she would be open to a spin-off, but only if she could make it alongside her co-star Joe Keery.
Hawke, 24, came into Stranger Things during its third season – her character Robin Buckley worked at Scoops Ahoy ice-cream parlour with Keery’s Steve Harrington.
She quickly became a fan-favourite after she joined the main gang alongside Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), and Nancy (Natalia Dyer).
But her closest bond has been with Steve – she came out to him at the end of season three and, as of yet, he’s kept her secret very safe.
Maya, who is the daughter of actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Therman, has become such a fan-favourite that many viewers have admitted they would be open to seeing a Robin spin-off.
When asked about the possibility, she said: ‘[I want a spin-off] where [Robin] goes to New York and we’re just partying in the clubs and figuring our s**t out.’
And, she said to Rolling Stone: ‘If I got to [make a spin-off] with Joe Keery, I would do anything.’
She continued: ‘He’s so funny and wonderful and smart, and he’s got great boundaries. He’s an excellent co-worker, and I would do anything with him.’
Hawke was being interviewed ahead of the release of her next album, entitled Moss, which is set for release on September 23.

She released her debut album, entitled Blush, in August 2020 – the album received a warm reception from critics.
When asked whether Robin ships Steve and Nancy, Hawke said that while Robin would only want what’s best for Steve, she doesn’t think Stranger Things is about romance.
She said: ‘People are always shipping characters in that show, but really that show’s about friendship.’
‘There’s such an over-emphasis in media that we consume about romantic love, and it being the ultimate destination that we’re all supposed to arrive at.’
It was recently announced that Hawke’s co-star, David Harbour, would be starring in upcoming Christmas horror movie Violent Night.
Harbour, 47, who plays Jim Hopper on Stranger Things, will be offering fans a ‘grizzled take’ on Santa Claus.
Stranger Things is available to stream on Netflix now.
