Viewers of Strictly Come Dancing were outraged after a ‘traumatic’ version of a Beyoncé hit.
For the second week in a row, radio host Nikita Kanda and Gorka Marquez took to the dancefloor with a Charleston to Single Ladies.
The couple received 18 points for their performance, which was dedicated to the 28-year-old’s single mother.
However, viewers were more interested with the music than the dance, and many were visibly dissatisfied with the version.
‘What is this horrendous version of Single Ladies about?!’ one fumed.
Another said: ‘They really should have chosen a different song, this one is awful choice. It is like if someone decided to fast forward Single Ladies.’
‘I feel traumatized by that single ladies cover it was horrible. I’m not hating the singers btw they do a fantastic job,’ someone else added.
A fourth penned: ‘Holy s**t. This rendition of Single Ladies feels like a panic attack. Make it stop.’
Another however praised: ‘They’ve sped Single Ladies up. That poor singer! She’s done a great job. Get her chair and a glass of water.’
That arrangement of Single Ladies was a… choice… #Strictly

Nikita, a BBC Asian Network broadcaster, previously stated on It Takes Two that her performance this week will be dedicated to her mother.
She said: ‘She is the single woman in my life. She brought me and my sister up on her own.
‘So, this one is going out to all the single parents out there that have done everything for their kids. I feel like this is the perfect tribute to my mum.’
Talking about her mum’s reaction to the news that she was on the show, Nikita added: ‘My mum cried as soon as she found out I was going to do Strictly, because we’ve watched it as a family growing up.
‘It’s one of my mom’s favourite TV shows. So I think for my mom it’s like wow, like surreal.
‘As much as it’s surreal for me, it’s surreal for my family, as well to see me on Saturday night telly. So yeah, it’s amazing.
‘My family are all really supportive, even my grandma’s watching it. Everyone’s just so excited.’
Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
