Angela Scanlon of Strictly Come Dancing has stated that she had to soak her feet in bleach.
Despite the fact that this seems dangerous, the presenter and The One Show host guaranteed that it resulted in a “miraculous recovery.”
Angela, who had a ‘grim’ blister infection after more than four weeks of training, has revealed her mother’s healing advice.
In an chat with Metro.co.uk, the 39-year-old told us: ‘I’ve had a miraculous recovery.
‘I had a blister infection last week, which was pretty grim, but actually my mum was over from Ireland and she gave me a tip which sounds kind of medieval!
‘I basically have been bathing my feet in a gentle-level bleach.’

She went on: ‘Actually, it’s worked a treat!’
Angela stated that she did not anticipate it to work, but she was at a point in her life when she was prepared to try anything, and she was pleasantly surprised to realise that she can now press her feet deeper in training.
Ellie Leach’s blistered feet are actually a good sign
Mum-of-two Angela isn’t the only one who has noticed a difference in her feet; Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has also revealed that her feet have become significantly tougher, much to the joy of her dancing partner Vito Coppola.
She told us: ‘I had some blisters but they’re healing pretty well. My body is just tired, we’re dancing all day every day, so yeah, it’s bound to be tiring.’

Vito chimed in: ‘I like to hear this because when we first started she had such smooth feet.
‘I said, “your feet are so beautiful, they’re going to hurt you a little bit.”
‘And now there’s some blisters and callouses, so they’re stronger. You don’t feel as much pain because they’re not so sensitive.’
He added it was part of her ‘transformation’ into a dancer.
Annabel Croft’s tennis-player feet are proving to be even more beneficial on Strictly
The beautiful thing is that she’s not scared to cover the floor, as we’d say in dancing. lovely thing is that she’s not afraid to blanket the floor, as we’d say in dance.
‘We have to say thank you to your art form, your sport, it really has helped.
‘When we do that jive and bounce around, you can see.’
Amanda added: ‘Yeah, that’s true because tennis is very much up on your toes, meaning your balance going forward and I still have to do that more in this one.
‘But I guess there’s similarities in the footwork and being light on your feet.’
Jody Cundy’s leg infection isn’t holding him back
Jody Cundy, meanwhile, told Metro.co.uk that he’s back on his feet for a full week of training after recovering from a leg infection last week.
The 44-year-old paralympian, who is coupled with 2022 champion Jowita Przystal, was rushed to the event last week, describing it as a “week of highs and lows.”
He hadn’t been able to train in the lead-up to Movie Week because he couldn’t put on his prosthetic limb, but he made it through the live show.
And he’s comforted that, despite some discomfort, he’s ‘on the way’.
Jody said: ‘The infection has cleared up nicely. Just kind of keeping an eye on it, trying to look after it a lot more than I had been doing and trying to stay on top of everything.
‘It still hurts a little bit but a few painkiller and we’re on the way.
‘It’s nothing more than having a blister on your foot.’
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
