Ellie Leach of Strictly Come Dancing 2023 got a bit too exuberant following her performance on Saturday… and in the process injured her dancing partner Vito Coppola.
The Coronation Street actress, 22, wowed the judges and the crowd with her emotional paso doble to Faithless’ Insomnia.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood stated their “partnership is on fire” and they “excelled,” while other judge Shirley Ballas applauded them for executing the challenging dances with “flair and style.”
Anton Du Beke added: ‘Sometimes you get a moment where everything is just right… and that was the moment.’
However, when they were left leaping for delight after being granted 37 points, things took a turn for the worst, leaving Vito in pain.
This isn’t the first time Ellie has exposed their’mishaps’ during training.
‘Vito kept saying you need to be strong and I think at some point I was a little too strong and broke a few of his toes,’ she confessed.
‘Three times!’ he clarified.
Laughing, Ellie quipped back: ‘Well he did say everything comes in threes, so you asked for it!’
But, as Claudia Winkleman taunted after Ellie hurt Vito again, things happen in fours these days.
‘I’ve injured him again!’ Ellie apologised, as Vito was left looking in pain, holding his mouth.
