Krishnan Guru-Murthy has confirmed that he would be replacing his professional partner for the of Strictly Come Dancing live tour.
The Channel 4 journalist, 53, was paired with Lauren Oakley on the show, and they were the eighth pair eliminated.
Krishnan said that he will return to the dancefloor, but not with Lauren.
The broadcaster announced on Instagram that he will be joining Layton Williams and Angela Rippon on the show’s live tour, dancing alongside Jowita Pryzstal.
He wrote: ‘#breakingnews Here we go again!! I’m doing the Strictly tour!!
‘It’s going to be brilliant but different because @laurenmayoakley was already committed to touring with @giovannipernice so it was a big decision for me and I went to and fro about it.

So excited for you both, couldn’t think of a better partner for you than Jowita!! Can’t wait to come and support you both 🥹🫶🏻 might cry a bit but that’s ok. 😂 https://t.co/ho6TYo0pRm

‘But with Lauren’s trademark encouragement I’m very excited to be dancing with the amazing @jowitapryzstal so CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEW YEAR! Xxxx.’
Lauren replied: ‘So excited for you both, couldn’t think of a better partner for you than Jowita!! Can’t wait to come and support you both.’
She added: ‘Might cry a bit but that’s ok.’
Jowita won the glitterball trophy with Hamza Yassin last year, but was regretfully ousted along with Jody Cundy, however she will return for the Christmas special.

This comes after Krishnan was left in tears discussing his Strictly exit, saying: ‘I don’t think it’s possible for anyone to miss it as much as I’ll miss it, it really surprised me, this whole experience.’
Speaking of their last dance together, he went on: ‘I was in a slightly different frame of mind because I was aware that it might be my last dance so I wanted to really enjoy it.
‘It wasn’t just about the performance, I was in a slightly different headspace than normal because I thought, I wanted to remember it as our last dance, if it was to be our last dance.’
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7.25pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
