Bill Bailey, the former Strictly Come Dancing winner, has come up with the perfect name for Oti Mabuse’s kid after much thinking.
At the height of the Covid-19 epidemic in 2020, the comedian appeared on the BBC show with his professional dancing partner, Oti Mabuse, 33.
After constantly performing well throughout the competition, the 58-year-old surged to victory with his companion, capturing the coveted Glitterball Trophy and defeating fellow celebrity contestants HRVY, Jamie Laing, and Maisie Smith in the grand finale.
During Wednesday’s Loose Women, the panel discussed Oti’s recent pregnancy announcement and if the 58-year-old contacted her.
Bill said; ‘When she said she was having a baby, I said well look here’s a couple of names for you.
‘Bill for a boy obviously, and Bailey if it’s a girl. It makes perfect sense right!’
He’s not entirely wrong.
The former Strictly Come Dancing judge revealed on August 26 that she and husband Marius Lepure, 40, were expecting their first child together with a beautiful Instagram post expressing their joy.
Not only that, but the TV personality also announced the news on her own show, ITV’s Oti Mabuse’s Breakfast Show.
Oti finished her presentation by bringing on hubby Marius and informing guests and viewers they had some ‘wonderful news.’
Oti’s guests were overcome with pleasure, cheering and chanting as an emotional Oti dried her eyes.
And the emotional moment was heightened by actress Chizzy Akudolu’s cheeky question, ‘Is it Marius’s?!’
Oti and Marius met in Germany while working as dance partners, and they married in 2014.
The next year, dancer Oti entered Strictly Come Dancing, and she and Marius relocated to the UK together; she has since found considerable success in presenting, including her self-titled Saturday morning programme.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12: 30pm on ITV.
