Amy Dowden of Strictly Come Dancing stated she was feeling ‘groggy and sleepy’ after undergoing another operation as part of her breast cancer treatment.
The 32-year-old professional dancer was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May and has now had a single mastectomy.
Amy said on Monday night that she was back in the hospital in a fresh post.
Amy captioned a photo in a hospital gown she posted to her Instagram Story, ‘Before the procedure this morning!’
‘All went well, just feeling groggy and drowsy! Thanks for all the messages.’
She didn’t say anything about the operation.
Amy, who has appeared on Strictly since 2017, was about to leave on her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones when she discovered a lump in her breast, which turned out to be cancer.
She has had a single mastectomy in the last month and is waiting to find out if she will require radiation or radiotherapy mixed with chemotherapy to get rid of the disease.
Amy has received an outpouring of love and support from her Strictly co-stars since making her news public.
Amy was described as “one of the strongest ladies I know” by Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas last week.
Shirley said: ‘She never feels sorry for herself and just gets on with it and I am sure she is going to do the same [now].
‘She is determined to be back on this [next] series.’
